CPAs need
to expand their knowledge in the area of management consulting
to meet the growing needs of business. A specialized designation
in this area provides CPAs in public accounting and industry
with the knowledge they need to meet the increasing demands
of a competitive market. The Certified Specialist in Management
Consulting® (CSMC) program allows qualified candidates to
show their clients that they are receiving the best possible
service in this field.
To earn
this designation, candidates must meet requirements of education,
experience, and ethics. In particular, enrollees are required
to complete a curriculum of core and elective courses, ranging
from basic to advanced and covering a broad range of issues.
A candidate must complete a total of seven courses, and, for
each, receive a passing grade on a related exam. The courses
